Flow Focus Writer is a local-first writing app. It is designed so your drafts, notes, snapshots, and project files stay on your device unless you choose to send or sync them elsewhere.
Writing Content
Flow Focus Writer does not upload your writing, notes, or .flow project files to Flow Focus Writer servers. Your writing is stored locally in your browser and/or in project files you save on your own device or storage provider.
Local Browser Storage
The app uses browser storage such as localStorage and IndexedDB to support draft recovery, preferences, notes, snapshots, and linked-file save behavior. This storage remains in your browser unless you clear it, your browser clears it, or your device/browser settings sync it through a provider you control.
Project Files
When you save a project, Flow Focus Writer creates a .flow file on your device. If you place that file in OneDrive, iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, or a similar synced folder, that provider may sync the file according to its own terms and privacy policy.
Support Email
If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, screenshots, browser details, or writing/project content if you include it. Do not send sensitive writing or personal information unless you want it reviewed for support.
Hosting And Technical Logs
The app is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP address, request metadata, browser details, and security logs to provide hosting, security, and performance services.
Analytics, Ads, And Tracking
Flow Focus Writer does not currently use advertising trackers, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics scripts in the app. If this changes, this policy should be updated before those tools are added.
Payments
If Flow Focus Writer accepts payments, payment information should be handled by a third-party payment processor. Flow Focus Writer should not collect or store full payment card details directly.
Children
Flow Focus Writer is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through support or another contact method, please contact us so we can delete it.
Your Responsibility
You are responsible for saving, backing up, exporting, and protecting your own writing and project files. Browser storage and local files can be deleted, corrupted, overwritten, or lost due to user action, device failure, browser behavior, storage-provider behavior, or other events outside our control.
